Pedal to the beat this summer

Once again this year, you’ll find loads of festivals waiting for you along the cycling routes of the region.

Jazz, rock, hip-hop, electro, DJs, classical music… You’ll definitely find what you’re looking for!

 

Des Lyres d’été in Blois-Chambord on La Loire à Vélo

Dates: 24 June to 17 September 2017

Location: Blois-Chambord area

More than 300 events throughout summer for all tastes and ages. Musical highlights include the Jazzin’ Cheverny Festival from 29 June to 2 July, Chambord Festival from 1st to 15 July and concerts by Claudio Capéo and Gold in Blois on 13 and 15 July respectively. The La Creusille water-side restaurant will be organising five exceptional evening events with no less than 20 concerts on two stages and a food area with local produce.

Avoine Zone Groove in Touraine on La Loire à Vélo

Dates: 30 June to 2 July 2017

Location: Avoine

After hitting the 18-year milestone, this festival is going for a new look with a main stage that will welcome the likes of Vianney, Matmatah, LP, L.E.J., Flavia Coelho and Boulevard des Airs, and plenty of free “unofficial” performances by other artists.

Format Raisins in Sancerre region on La Loire à Vélo

Dates: 5 to 23 July 2017

Location: Sancerre area

This festival is back once again, with a mix of Classical and Baroque music, international music, contemporary dance, children’s concerts, a contemporary art exhibition and even wine tasting, cultural action and corporate and heritage visits. 70 different events to enjoy!

Terres du Son in Touraine on La Loire à Vélo

Dates: 7 to 9 July 2017

Location: Domain of Candé (between Joué-lès-Tours and Monts)

On the programme: over 100 different concerts and shows including new discoveries and known favourites. The big names for this 13th edition include Gojira, Morcheeba, Imany, Camille, Birdy Nam Nam, Tété and Naive Bew Beaters...

Vendôme International Guitar Festival on La Vallée du Loir & Saint-Jacques à Vélo

Date: 2 to 8 July 2017

Location: Vendôme

This world-famous guitar festival offers a rich array of genres ranging from gypsy jazz, Brazilian music, and Latin guitar through to classical and rock. Be sure not to miss the festival’s “unofficial” programme which sees concerts springing up in the streets, bars, and restaurants of Vendôme.

Festival d’Arc in Châteauroux on L'Indre à Vélo

Date: 7 to 19 August 2017

Location:Châteauroux

The Festival d’Arc is primarily an international dance workshop by day. By night, music concerts take the stage. On the bill this year: Léon Newars, Doolin’, The Sunvizors, UB40, Ziako, Zoufris Maracas, Clarika, Michel Leeb & the Brass Messengers, Nina Attal, Deluxe, Soan, MHD, and so many more. There are 9 nights in total, 3 of which are free admission. On the final night, the workshop’s 600 participants will join together for a performance themed on the wonder of the world!

Dates: 15 to 17 September 2017

Location: four venues in Tours - Villa Rabelais, Halles, Guinguette and Parc Sainte Radegonde

This brand new festival combines music, gastronomy and lifestyle, with a hot mix of events with top chefs and, on the music side, Bigflox & Oli, Claudio Capeo, Cocoon, M Pokora and Part-time Friends.
