New experiences on L’Indre à Vélo

Go high up in Châteauroux on L’Indre à Vélo!

L’Indre à Vélo, a bike route connected to La Loire à Vélo in the heart of Touraine and the châteaux of the Loire region, has linked Chenonceaux to Azay-le-Rideau via Loches for several years.

For this year, the cycle route has doubled in distance and now covers more than 200km of little roads through the Indre Valley before reaching Jeu-les-Bois, south of Châteauroux, in Berry.

Along this new route, you can also access the network of 12 cycle circuits through the regional natural park offered by La Brenne à Vélo.

Another 2016 novelty on the route is the 360° sky view of Châteauroux!

A first in France, the Castelroussin tourist office is offering guided tours of emblematic places to allow you to discover the town’s history in a new light: from the ground and then the sky.

Throughout the whole of summer, there are four town monuments that you can discover by drone: Saint-André church, Le Couvent des Cordeliers, Balsan park and château, and Château Raoul.

This unusual opportunity starts with a visit of the building, enhanced by the commentaries of a guide, then the drone takes off, providing you with a unique view of Châteauroux and its most beautiful monuments. The view from the drone is replayed in real time on a large screen.
